Hello Ladies,
We are so excited about our retreat!!!
We eagerly anticipate our upcoming women's retreat titled "Remember," taking place from March 8th to 10th in Glenrose, Texas at Riverbend Retreat Center.
Here are a few things we want to let you know (this may feel like rambling but I want you ladies to have as much information as possible):
1. Registration opens at 5pm on Friday. Our first session will start 7:15pm

2. Our Speaker this year is Judy Edwards our International General Superintendant's wife. She has such a beautiful and infectious love for GOD and I cannot wait to see what God has for us through Judy! Be on the lookout for her Bio coming out next week.
3. If you have not done so yet please register at www.refuge-ministries.com/events (if you cannot pay just yet - that is okay! Please let Samantha Wilson know ASAP so we can have a general idea of our headcount) final count is due March 1st
4. See the attached picture for our draft version of the retreat schedule! the schedule could change so this schedule isn't final but it is available for those who need to know what might be happening :) BUT PLEASE NOTE * DINNER IS NOT SERVED FRIDAY NIGHT PLEASE EAT BEFORE THE FIRST SESSION AT 7:15PM
5. As you can see in the schedule there will be "FREE TIME" This time has historically been a time when people go into town and shop, sightsee, hike the trails at the center, play games, or just nap (that usually is me)! *but this year we are putting together (optional) activities/crafts you can sign up for during your registration time. These events are (but are not limited to) scripture writing, outdoor games, hiking, rain chain creation, Zumba, memory journal, and more. Our leadership team has been hard at work behind the scenes and can't wait for you to get involved.
6. Many just want to sleep after the last event on Friday and Saturday (and that is all right) but many also bring games to play the night away! So feel free to bring games, jump in during game time, and just fellowship with one another!
7. PACKING LIST: no need to bring sheets or towels, our hotel-style rooms will have that for you. But do bring those: clean pairs of socks, your medicine, a toothbrush/toothpaste, shampoo body wash, clothes, a bible, a notebook (if you're a notetaker), and whatever else you may need!
8. In the spirit of remembrance and gratitude, we're extending a heartfelt invitation to you all to join us in showing appreciation for the pastor's wives and influential women who have left indelible marks on our lives. We believe it's essential to recognize the tireless dedication and selfless contributions of these remarkable individuals. To honor them and express our heartfelt appreciation, we kindly invite you to participate in our gesture of thankfulness. We encourage you to bring gifts for your pastor's wives and other influential figures in your life to show your gratitude and appreciation. We kindly ask that you consider bringing gifts, handwritten notes, or any meaningful tokens to honor these extraordinary women who have walked alongside us in our spiritual journey.
9. Join the Fun and Win! Bring a Door Prize under $20! We're gearing up for an exciting gathering, and we want to make it even more thrilling for everyone involved! As part of our event, we're inviting you to participate in a special door prize giveaway. Here's how it works: We're asking each attendee to bring along a door prize valued at $20 or less. These prizes could be anything from small gadgets and accessories to books or gift cards – let your creativity flow! The key is to keep it within the $20 limit. By bringing a door prize, you not only contribute to the excitement of the event but also get a chance to win one yourself! Each participant who brings a door prize will automatically be entered into our exclusive door prize drawing.
10. We are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to all mothers and daughters attending our Women's Retreat! As part of our event, we're excited to announce a special session featuring the talented and inspiring Amber Jean Davis. Amber Jean will be giving an empowering and insightful lesson. This mini-session promises to be an enriching opportunity for bonding, growth, and connection between mothers and daughters.
11. EVERY ONE in attendance MUST fill out a consent & release form found here or you can fill one out at registration.
12. And LAST (for now anyway) if you have any old RM Retreat pictures of pictures from any retreat events please bring them with you printed out or email them to Samantha@refuge-ministries.com We want to decorate with them to "REMEMBER" all the things God has done for our Church women.
